Aborted training week

its always the way isnt it.
shoudlve listened to my mantra: its better to live on your knees....
decided early in the week to push the mileage pre-bogong.
of course B2H looks unlikely to go ahead (bushfires) but anyway...
the left quad started playing up during the wednesday long run.
isnt it fun when u reach half way on a long outNback and have problems!
stretched it out and made it home only a few mins slower for the second half but pulled up sore on thursday with some itb niggles and quad tightness.
seems ok now tho after the run today but it just serves as a reminder that a mans gotta know his limitations.
no harm done i guess but its still nice to have a quick whinge :)
one of the CR threads got a tad heated today and i think people think im a bit of a harsh old fart.
well i guess i am. if they'd only seen what i have. nuff said anyhoo....
have arranged the day off work for the brisbane forest park (fat blokes) fatass on the 27th so in absence of B2H will work towards that.

monday: 21km hilly and massage
tuesday: 1hr stat bike (40 at 140watts, 20 at 200)
wednesday: 35km flat post physio!
thursday: nothing
friday: nothing
saturday: 1hr stat bike at 140
sunday: easy 13km flat

You are hardly an old fart! But you are in a unique position and have a different perspective than most people.

Sorry to hear about the leg. Look after yourself. Fingers crossed that B-H still goes ahead

A harsh old fart???? Crap! We don't think you are harsh ;-)

Can't wait to catch up at the Fatass. Meanwhile have a great Chrissy.

You're not really big enough to seem harsh, dude. More like a fluffy trailbunny...

Good thing you only got a niggle and didn't take a dive down a hill with your ankle breaking your fall. (Yes, I'm dumb, but I'll be back for the Fatass.)
