Giddyup 2008!
the 2007 highlight for me was definately the day i went to the 13000ft virginius pass in the san juan mountains colorado.
with jim, john and tim we were marking the hardrock 100 mile course.
i coped with the climb and the altitude and the scary height remarkably well and it was then that i knew i could actually do this race.
up until then 2007 had been all about trying to achieve a goal that may be unobtainable.
now i know that i want to do it, and can do it.
they just need to let me into the bloody race!!
the toughest footrace in the world...http://www.run100s.com/HR/
other highlights in (maybe) no particular order...
1. gh100: returning to the 100 mile finishline. lots of stories mainly associated with the extreme wet course this year. will never forget going for a swim at javes pool!
2. warwick-glasshouse double. what can i say. it just had to be done. a real 'head-shaker' :) 122km in 6 races in 48hrs. and not to forget the 800km of driving!
3. the prom. just a tough hard core adventure run. just luv it! and that weather!
4. bright 4 peaks. never forget that -8 and 50knot winds near hotham.
5. kepler. just luv that scenery!
6. my first cradle
7. mt coot-tha all trails: now thats a hilly run!
was first to the mt nebo shop at fats fatass on friday.
i guess that meant i won!
chased hubertein and greg up a few hills early to no avail - they sped into the distance.
what did i say about chasing a mountain running rep the other week?
saw them at boombana picnic area 1.5km from the finish where hube met her family - was having a coffee and going home.
greg was going to turn around but came to the 'top' later and got a lift down the mountain.
so i ran on to the finish as fast as my little legs would carry me!
monday: 14km flat 70.00
tuesday: xmas day. ate all day.
wednesday: 14km flat 69.00
thursday: 60min bike
friday: fats fatass 24km 2.32
saturday: nothing
sunday: 60min bike
thanks for all your help and support this year guys.
good luck for 2008.
b2h next sunday.

What a great you had. And 2008 will be even better for you doc. Fingers are crossed that they let you into that race!
All the best for 2008 !
yeah you did good mate. But you need to run more with Mellum.
You had a great year Bro, getting through a lot of tough runs and the body holding together. I think that will give your confidence a boost and give you a good lead in to 2008.
