On the verge of being fit

as per 2p's comment last week the 'light switched on' about tuesday.
felt like i had energy again and could train rather than just spin the legs.
decided i didnt want to run on monday.
or pretty much any day this week to be honest.
so i didnt! ... well except saturday.

u know those runs where u set out at a 'pushing' pace only to get faster and faster?
well that was me on saturday - did the kangaroo pt to uni qld and return run (23.5km).
set out at about 5.05-5.10s and just kept speeding up.
was doing 4.40-4.50s by the end.
my problem however is 2 fold.
my time was still 8mins slower than pb.
and my legs felt like crap the next morning!
i think where i am at the moment is on the verge of being fit.
(i know that sounds funny with all the ultras ive done lately)
i know im fit when i can break pbs one day and feel like i can do it all again the next.
but now im just sounding like an ungrateful a-hole.
ive had a really good trot since things fell apart at bribie last october so should be thankfull.

read an interesting article in outdoor magazine about mt tibrogargan (gh mountains).
a writer and photographer tried to climb it but didnt succeed!
probably the 25kg pack one was carrying was a factor :)
being a cocky little bastard i dont think i can help but write a letter to the editor about my gh 5 mountains run last year.

going to oreillys at the gold coast on the weekend.
for some reason i always seem to holiday in these kinds of places :)
looking forward to a 2hr bush run each morning and hopefully a binna burra to oreillys walk with the other half.

6FT in 3 weeks.
i see that the majority of team gbh are avoiding confrontation by being the sweepers ;)
its not in team mellums code of conduct to help others.

monday - 30min stationary bike
tuesday - 60min stat bike
wednesday - 60min stat bike
thursday - massage and 60min stat bike
friday - physio/needles and 60min stat bike
saturday - 45min stat bike and 23.5km flat run (1.57)
sunday - 60min stat bike
funny training week - considering many people ride their bikes to/from work these days basically i did nothing!

Ha ha ha ha! Avoiding confrontation my ass UCB. There is a service requirement as part of entry into WS the last time I checked. How are Mellum going to get around that? Is Tim going to say he puts videos up on you tube with homosexual overtones? Not sure if that will cut it! The last time I checked, GBH has had a few victories lately. Looking forward to the next event where we are competing against each other.

Hey Bro, I hope you aren't being too hard on yourself there. How many weeks since Cradle, two isn't it?
